Steam Pamphrey in Soya Sauce

I would like to share to all of you my favorite dish which my mom used to cook for me before I married. Actually she used to use “Belanak” fish (sorry, I don’t know the English name :)), but this fish can be replaced with Pamphrey fish which has less bones and the meat texture is quite soft.

Preparation:

  • 1/2 Kg of Pamphrey fishes
  • 1/2 tsp salt or as per taste
  • 1 tbsp soya sauce (not the sweet one)
  • 1/4 tsp sugar
  • 3 or 4 pcs of green chillies

Process:

  • Wash the fishes, give 2 slight slices on each sides
  • Marinate the fishes with salt, sugar and soya sauce for 15 minutes in a bowl or plate
  • Steam the marinated fishes along with the bowl or plate where the fishes are marinated for 20 minutes and keep the lid close
  • Serve 2 persons

Have a good try! :)
